We will coordinate a visit to Campo Paz y Bien and the ashes of your loved one will be transferred to our biodegradable urn (task carried out by the Funeral Director) then (either on that day, or on a previously agreed date) we will proceed to carry out the burial service.

Why do we bury the remains in a biodegradable urn and not a conventional urn?

Accepted Answer

Our biodegradable urn guarantees that the soil will be free of any alteration that could affect the environment. Conventional urns contain metal, plastic, ceramic or other materials that are harmful to the soil and therefore to the ecosystem.

How should we dress when visiting Campo Paz y Bien?

Accepted Answer

We suggest comfortable clothing, a hat to protect yourself from the sun and suitable footwear for walking on grass or uneven ground (avoid shoes with heels or sandals). An umbrella and sunglasses make good companions.

Question 4

Are wakes offered at Campo Paz y Bien?

Accepted Answer

Our mission is to conserve nature and offer a space of tranquility, which is why we control and limit traffic and the capacity of people who visit us. The wake process and/or religious activity must be done elsewhere.

Are there annual fees for maintenance or use of space?

Accepted Answer

We are a non-profit organization, we support our conservation and maintenance expenses through burial services (a single payment) and/or donations from those who are interested in supporting us.

Are tombstones or markers placed in Campo Paz y Bien?

Accepted Answer

We avoid placing any type of mark on the ground or on trees, thereby guaranteeing the integrity of the ecosystem. We provide the family with the coordinates where the biodegradable urn was buried. Let us remember that the urn will be dissolved within a period of no more than seven (7) months and the ashes will be incorporated into the forest floor. The tombstones and mausoleums are the essence of the conventional cemetery.

Can we visit Campo Paz y Bien in circumstances other than a burial?

Absolutely, they just have to coordinate the visit! In addition to preserving nature as an ecological cemetery, we want to be a space of tranquility and seclusion. A peaceful point of convergence for those who appreciate the importance of living in harmony with flora and fauna and want to help preserve our lands and improve spiritual health. A field that offers peace and does good.
